The Exile of the Musicians + The Trams
Between 1933 and 1945, more than one hundred European musicians, most of them Jewish, left Europe to settle in Argentina, where they successfully manage to pursue their careers. Musicologist Silvia Glocer investigated every detail of their lives to publish her doctoral thesis. After completing this work, she organized a tribute concert featuring the children and disciples of the exiled musicians.
After the documentary film The Exile of the Musicians the short film the Trams will be screened.
The trams (Juan Wenceslao Hayzus, 4 min)
When a paranoid young man is forced to ride the Prague tram without a valid ticket, what begins as a simple act of fare-dodging spirals into a tense psychological ordeal, as every passenger becomes a potential inspector and every stop a possible reckoning.
