The Heist of the Century
It's raining heavily, and there's not a soul on the street. Araujo has taken refuge under the eaves of a closed-down building. In front of him is the facade of Banco Río. It's Friday, January 13, 2006. The snipers of the Halcón Group are waiting for an order. More than three hundred police officers scattered around the area await the voice of their commander. Miguel Sileo, the negotiator, as given up on the hope that Vitette, one of the leaders of the gang of robbers who entered the Banco Río branch in Acassuso, will give a sign of life. The pizzas he had requested as a condition had gone cold. The Halcón Group receives the order and enters: they encounter the unexpected. Toy guns and about twenty frightened hostages await them inside; there's no sign of the group of robbers.
